Tibis has one mate, the Elven steed, Meic. He's not looking for any more. But when Tibis and the centaur, Vikam, go to pick up horses, they end up sharing a hotel room and some intimate secrets. There's a chance Vikam is his mate, too. But Vikam is going back to New York with his friend, Fain, and Tibis has a rescue to run with his mate. There's no room in their bed for another, no matter how much he wants there to be.

Vikam had two missions when he arrived at 2 Hearts Magic: find the Son of Light and convince him to return, and perhaps find some rescue horses for Second Stride, the group he works with back in New York. He brought his friend Fain along for company, and with the hopes that maybe their relationship would develop into something more. He never counted on Asur refusing his calling as the Son of Light, or on the fact that his mate is the mustang shifter, Tibis.

With his goals in the air and his relationship with Fain hitting a difficult patch since his return, there's just one question to answer. Does he want to go back to New York and remain alone? Or is there a way for him to return to 2 Hearts Magic with Fain and make a little magic of his own?
